Look forward to the exciting news coverage of a definitely not foreign state sponsored coup next year.

No need for a coup because they’ll get voted out eventually and then back in.

The coalition that currently governs Kerala, the Left Democratic Front which the communist party of india is a big part of, usually trades places with the United Democratic Front which is lead by the indian national congress every election. Every 5 years the ruling coalition would lose and the opposition would get to govern, and then lose in the next election.

However in 2021 for the first time ever the Left Democratic Front won the election while being the incumbent and so has been governing for 9 consecutive years so it doesn’t shock me that a lot of progress has been done. Since that was an outlier I assume next year the United Democratic Front will win but I just saw a headline of some guy saying that it could win a third term so idk maybe there’s hope

    Micro-level planning

Basically how China did it. It seems like a government seriously committed to ending poverty will inevitably reach this point where they’ve done all they can with big universal programs, and have to reach into all of the cracks in the system and all of the special cases and handle them on a much more personal level. Extremely cool stuff, I hope Kerala can keep it up and that the rest of India takes notice.
