It’s been interesting to follow this story, and see how little information about the assault has been given out, with this being the first story I’ve seen that actually admits the accused are foreigners.
Then you have been reading shitty reporting. The BBC, and the major UK news sites have all reported the nationality of the accused, once that information was confirmed officially. Reporting in greater detail is illegal due to the age of the accused and the alleged victim, and the simple fact that the incident remains under investigation and pending legal proceedings so the police and prosecutors are not going to make any details public.
I’ve been reading what’s been posted here, mostly.
Isn’t this a peaceful protest by californian standards?
Why are these people rioters and californians peaceful protestors?
In both cases property is damaged (e.g. cars set on fire).
Torching cars of migrant families and forcing them to flee there home is very different from torching cars used for police surveillance.
No, property damage isn’t all equivalent. Burning people’s homes and livelihoods is completely different than stopping fascists from taking over the country.
Maybe next time read the article instead of just looking at a image.
Police are investigating the damaging of property in Ballymena as racially-motivated hate crimes.
