Stories about rich people where their wealth is part of the plot are getting tired, but more insidiously, stories not involving wealth are still defaulting to very well-off people with expensive homes/furnishings/clothes/style/cars.
We’ve had enough shows where a 20-year-old barista is living in a $2,000 apartment.
That’s kinda the thesis of the whole article.
