Looks like Israel is trying to check all the boxes of the book of vile darkness. Even using drugs as a form of enslavement.

Where is the source? I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the flour was poisoned but there are more effective drugs for that purpose. Less traceable, more harmful, orally active, less fragile, etc.

The source is this guy. I have no idea if this is a reputable claim or not, but Israel has lost all right to the benefit of the doubt. I have neither proof nor doubt that they’re doing this. Here’s another guy on Twitter:

I was expecting it to be in powder form, mixed with the flour. Don’t get me wrong, I’d only eat food from a zionist if I were starving, but I’m not convinced. Maybe they were trying to smuggle drugs for some dealers. Zionists are already causing chaos with mercenaries near Rafah. I doubt those pills were meant for the average Palestinian to find inside the flour, recognize them as a particular brand of opioid medication and say “I guess I’ll get high to numb the pain” then proceed to take them while baking bread.

Why is it unlikely? Israel has been purposely maiming Palestinians for decades and since recently in record numbers. To me it seems like just another way to make life in Gaza unbearable and even more challenging than before to make sure that there’s lots of highly addictive drugs in the market. It’d result in many deaths and people having to care for their addicted family members or friends.

We are talking about two different things here. I said it was probably a case of smuggling, someone (not a dealer) got the wrong bag of flour.

Poisoning Palestinians through tainted food is not an unlikely scenario but If they are doing it this wouldn’t be a proper method. I already stated why and I don’t want to go in depth about it as it is sensible information.

it’s really not clear to me what this means. are they poisoning the flour with oxycodone or are they just smuggling it with the aid so that they can sell it to people that need painkillers/addicts? surely it’s gotta be the latter. if i remember correctly synthetic opioids degrade with high temperatures and surely there’s “better” and cheaper stuff to ruin flour with.

They could be targetting aid workers/bakers/etc. more so than the people eating the bread, though I think the story is fake and just as likely to be some reactionary trying to discredit reporting on Israeli war crimes by spreading false rumors. [edit: see reply]

My friend in Gaza told me abt the drugs found in flour (not that it’s mixed with flour, but inside bags hidden in the flour) which makes me feel like it’s real. It’s possible he got misinformed as well but it seems unlikely?

Is it possible that aid workers are doing this not to poison Gazans but to sneak in critical medications? There are a ton of people in Gaza with horrific injuries which will leave them in immense pain. Oxycontin is relatively safe for most people to use for pain suppression and is very effective. Obviously if it is mixed in with the flour that is not the case. But if there are pills in bags in the flour then this seems plausible.

It doesn’t really make sense to me since Israel controls everything that goes in and out of Gaza and I’m sure they check the flour bags as well to make sure nothing else is in there.

Sure, if you’ve got a friend in Gaza who said it, I believe them. It just seemed like something invented by zios to mess with a western audience online, but if Gazans believe it (and they would be the people who know in this case) then I think it’s most likely true.

The version of the story where it’s just a smuggling mechanism and not itself a poisoning attempt also seems way more plausible. It’d be strange if Israel wasn’t trying to promote dangerous drugs, honestly.

israelis are some of the worst people our species has ever produced. Anything bad that happens to israelis, I am unable to feel bad about in the slightest.
