How they care so much for the Uyghur Muslims while ignoring the genocide of Palestinian Muslim or the discrimination against Muslims on their own land.

I don’t think its real. I searched for the text in on the google and only turned up this image.

I have seen people blatantly lie about stuff like this about China, but I can’t find this particular tweet.

Kind of disingenuous to crop out the source of that tweet on the left. I’m sure it was obvious bullshit based solely on that.

Yes you’re absolutely right to question the source! You should always do that

This doesn’t have a strong real vibe and we don’t really need this example to be true so idk who would try and find the original tweet with success after some already failed

There are so many articles and tweets out there with false accusations that have been debunked, this can be taken as an example meme to easily illustrate the issue with propaganda we encounter in our lives.

Sometimes it is that blatant, like “tank man” being cited as having been run over by tanks going to Tiananmen Square, even though it is easily checkable that the tanks were going OUT of the square in the morning after the riots, and videos of this man exist from the same view point, showing him walking on the tank and talking with the soldiers for some time before going off

I think this is meant as a political cartoon, but I’m sure Yog would love to discuss with you if you want to talk about real photographs being misused to similar effect (along with stories that don’t even have fake photos attached), e.g. with Tienanmen Square or Xinjiang, if you ask him to. I must admit that I don’t have the patience for having that discussion with hostile strangers, but Yog is a power poster.

What makes you think I’m a hostile stranger? The general premise of the meme is good and fine. I’m sure it happens all the time. Just not sure this is a great example. If it happens in reality all the time, highlight those instances. Doesn’t help anyone to make up new ones.

              It’s text

Which still carries tone, and that one was clearly accusatory

and half the people on here have autism. Can we not?

You’re hiding behind finger wagging but this doesn’t actually make sense. Am I just to that phrasing it as an accusation is just an oopsie whoopsie from someone with a very specific subset of autistic traits that leaves them with no idea of how they come off, and that them having no idea means they should not be encouraged to try to be mindful?
