The 2nd season of WFM should’ve been 6-8 more episodes. The story was overall pretty good, but felt rushed.
That’s a consequence of being split into two seasons to begin with. The season 1 finale was, narratively, a good place to break for a small time skip, but it required padding out the high school romcom hijinks to stretch out to 12 episodes. If WfM had been a contiguous 24 ep run instead, the season 1 finale could have easily been moved up a few episodes, giving more time later to focus on the greater eco-political situation.
It’s not as bad as some suits have been done, but the Blitz is up there in my faves and is mainly remembered for “He played piano!”
