Though I agree with Ex MP Breyer’a stance against chat control. His title and parts of his article reads like a mix of der Spiegel and The Mirror; quite sensational.

Calling Danish MP a Liar, won’t increase an author’s credibility. And I don’t know what to make of thr fact that he publishes an EU memo via a link, which is marked as follows: “Classification: RESTRICTED – For Official Use Only Date: 15 September 2025”.

I also wonder how our current and future copyright laws might protect us from other’s stealing our sentences and info. I mean, technically everything we create, sentences, articles and paintings should be protected under national and or EU copyright ( IP) laws. I wonder how the European Court would view the impending " chat control regulation proposals" in that light. And that’s without even considering our right of privacy and citizens protection.

Copyright laws have been developing for over a century now. It originated as an idea as not to infringe on the artist original creation. And registration of patents, were way to ensure that genius inventors & original investors were sufficiently protected as to see their work, risk and efforts rewarded, when they proved successful. Although concerning N. Tesla and T. Edison there are already many inconsistencies, iirc.

But many of current international developments are a danger to ownership and citizens rights. Many companies and institutions are looking for more profit and will do anything to secure that. This has everything to do with enshitification and authoritarian power, and nothing with IP anymore.

They are just making a new IP bubble out of it, and we must stop this whole damn idiotic out of the loop oligarch capitalism BS.
