      Well yea, media is doing that thing they always do when talking about bills and leaving out the entire process.

      Yes, the House will vote on it. It may even pass.

      Then it goes to the Senate.

      Then it goes to Trump’s desk.

      Then it goes back to the House when Trump inevitably veto’s it, and it doesn’t pass because they would need a 2/3rds majority which they will never get. (Only 2 bills since the 90’s have ever been passed this way)

      That’s not even including the possibility of a pocket veto; in which case it just dies right there on Trump’s desk and never goes back to Congress.

      I understand that it’s boring to report the truth. “Meaningless DOA bill begins first step to eventually getting rejected and thrown out” is not exactly a captivating headline. But I am just a little sick of the media constantly misrepresenting a vote in the House or Senate as the final step of a hard fought battle, rather than the first step of a long journey doomed to failure.

    I wonder if public release is going to interfere in any way with taking legal action against anybody named in these files.
