I would rather have a rail network that connects every metro area in the country than one single route of high-speed rail. Don’t care if it’s low-speed (50 mph is fine) as long as it exists.
Sure but just saying any socialist traveling along the NE corridor is expected (by me) to take the train instead of fly since it exists already and takes around the same amount of time. There are valid reasons to drive (unfortunately).
(Actually train take 4 hours vs 1.5 hrs flight time, but the train is city center to city center with no security, airport has security, but it depends on if you’re in queens or Manhattan maybe)
Correct but the one HSR the US has runs from Madison Square Garden to the US Capitol building.
