Depends on which type. Steve Jobs had a pretty curable type of pancreatic cancer and still fucked his chances by refusing medical treatment until it was too late.
The “good” kind is like 5% of cases. We can safely assume it’s the bad kind.
I mean, yeah, it’s one of the worst ones to get. But the survival rate of pancreatic cancer with chemo vs pancreatic cancer with Horse Dewormer cannot be favorably comparable for the latter.
Oncologists will tell you their theoretical personal treatment plan for if they got certain types of cancer. Most of the time their plan for pancreatic cancer is quit your job, spend some time on a beach somewhere, then get on the opiate train when it starts getting bad. They always want you to fight it because maybe you’re the miracle outlier but they know better for themselves.

I know that intellectually but there’s a definite difference between knowing that and being okay with the implications of it in the absence of some feel good story about what happens after. On the one hand, would nothingness be any different than a night of sleep where I don’t dream? Just one that probably never ends? Like, kinda not? But it’s still absolutely terrifying to me. My fear of my (and everyone else’s, even my cats’) mortality just keeps getting worse the older I get, the more frail I feel, the more I’m prone to see some violent media and just think about how fucked up my body would be, or how painful it would be. It’s almost to the point that I feel sympathy for my dad as he veers off into this fucked up Christian bigotry shit, like, at least if it and he trick him well enough he won’t feel as bad when my mom passes.
Whenever I think about the circumstances of my death, like, I know about all the painful ways people can go, and I know that there are so many that are kinder than others, but it’s still too much to really sit and fully consider without panicking over my general mortality. Maybe someday I’ll be in enough pain that it will hasten my decision, but I hope not

Over COVID a very distant family member (who also married his cousin… but thats another story) got a load of plastic surgery, then took a shit load of ivermectin and straight up just died.
This happened to a former classmate of mine who was a MLM heath influencer. She got colon cancer and she tried to healthy eat her way to good health. She died a few months later. Real tragic.
