My parents used to give me shit for sick days which was hilarious. Like my asshole boss let me call in i dont need a second asshole boss telling me i should be at work. They stole like half my wages too leaving me only enough to pay for the train to work and then made me go to bed at 8pm, i got home at like 7pm and got up at 6am i fuckin hated them… still do
That does suck. Especially in a physical job, rest is important!
It also sucks to be a parent who works from home stuck at home with your kid who isn’t at school while you have to work.

Yep. Shitty asshole children of the Cold War with just enough money to be seen as Good Upstanding Middle Class Folks but not enough power and status to really understand capitalism like the rich do or enough hardship to really understand capitalism like the poor do, make really horrible parents to be stuck living with. They don’t always suck at every part of parenting, necessarily, but they do suck at treating their kids as human beings and at being pleasant people to be housemates with.
