A visit to Greenland reveals a swirl of feelings as people nervously await talks with the Trump administration about the island’s future.

Pipaluk Lynge knows the history of how Indigenous people have been treated in the United States. And she’s well aware of the holes in the country’s health care system and its yawning economic inequality.

Ms. Lynge, one of Greenland’s top officials and the leader of the Parliament’s foreign and security policy committee, chafes at President Trump’s offer to buy Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, and his insistence that Greenlanders would be better off as Americans.

“We’re not going to sell our soul,” she said. “We’re not stupid.”

The only thing Greenland can do is prepare for an invasion, America and Trump in general have shown that they don’t care about borders or if you are an ally, if you have resources they want/need you can be sure as fuck they will come to get them one way or another, not saying that psychopathic POS won’t “accidentally” launch a nuke (i was aiming at Russia) at Greenland because if the US can’t have their resources then no one should.

The only thing Greenland can do is prepare for an invasion

They have a population of under 60,000 people. There is no preparing for a conflict against the strongest military on the planet.

There’s not a lot to prevent an invasion, but taking a place and keeping it under occupation are two different things. The USA is good at storming the castle walls but not very good at anything afterwards

So they should roll over and surrender their home? even if no help comes from Europe and they DO massacre the population for their resources, there will be consequences that even the “mightiest” military won’t be able to withstand, go back to your master bootlicker!

It is impossible to convince a stupid person that you aren’t stupid. It’s built into being stupid and a key difference between stupid and ignorant.
