Also if you live in America, Tiktok there is run by a joint venture between Oracle, Bytedance, a venture capital firm, a UAE investment firm, and the US Digital Service under TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC.
Saying “But China” doesn’t distract from the problem.

Just the usual regime changes. The best time to protest was when it happened in South America or the Middle East. Now there are not many independent countries left that could join the protests. Same with the media. Unless everybody switches to the Fediverse tomorrow, few will know about the influence.
Deep down, people know that it is a necessary preparation to beat China. Who would be willing to share resources globally instead and reduce living standards to global averages?
