One thing I hate is how this isn’t constantly on media. We had Venezuela every fucking minute on TV during their hyperinflation crisis caused by US sanctions, but a libertarian president multiplies homelessness and precarious life and all fucking media are silent. Libs don’t fucking care if it’s not on TV I swear to God
on the contrary. we have argentina on the media as a good example to be followed. because the country has a ‘positive balance’ - nevermind how argentina’s external debt is going up and the country went to the IMF twice, the american treasury once and is now living via commercial bank loans.
Yeah.
I even have well-meaning liberals trying to say he’s doing good work because inflation line go down.
Klarnafication
Klarnafornia Uber Alles
More debt = more GDP.
You socialists wouldn’t understand, but burning down a forest is value creation.
“The problem with libertarianism is that you eventually run out of Government money to pay your debts.”
the problem with libertarianism is that eventually you run out of other people’s IMF money
but inflation is only 2%, the line is going up!!! /s
Liqui-felicidad-dacion

They are giving 10% discount in cash. So basically they are charging 10% more if you pay with a card or other electronic pay form. In Brazil it’s illegal to offer discounts, or surcharge, depending on how the payment is made.
“that’s not real capitalism and libertarianism” -

What is the mood like in Argentina? Do people who voted for this regret their choice?
His voters think he’s the best thing since hitler
this will surely increase shareholder value
Yeah, but that’s pretty common in Uruguay too iirc
Supermarkets offering interest free loans is pretty prevalent all over latam. But most people use them for large purchases, like a TV or a fridge. Using them for necessities just shows how dire things are
I think the better comparison would be whether this was common before Milei (which it could be, I wouldn’t strictly know)
And in the west, look at the increase in Klarna usage
You do not need money for payment, here take this food and sleeping-space instead. Universal currency for payment is too much state intervention.
In america they just call that BNPL!
How would you describe the burritos on layaway here in the US?
