Doesn’t require root, installed on top of Android, launches like an app.

Best, lowest risk way to get familiar with the capabilities without requiring a new device with specific distro support. I’m a huge believer in having things you can actually experience in your hands.

    for mobile distros theres also droidian (basically mobian with downstream kernel and halium) and maemo leste (continuation of nokia’s maemo fremantle)

    Also pretty sure you can go to developer settings and enable native Terminal app with Debian on the latest version of Android, do not remember the specifics.
