The misconception that artificial diamonds are in some way “less real” or “inferior” to natural diamonds is demonstrably false (and most likely planted by the diamond mining industry). The good news is that with bad economy, younger generations are buying diamonds less, so it’s hurting diamond miners. But the demand for cheaper diamonds mean it’s good for synthetic diamond manufacturers.
