      I mean…

OP’s link is just to some rando’s social media post from today claiming

No one is talking about this!

Because they just heard about it today and not over a week ago when AP ran that story…

It’s exactly the same zero empathy behavior and wilfully ignorance as trump. They could have easily googled it and found prior articles. Instead the first time they heard about it, they decided it was the first time anyone ever said it

Not even getting into how ridiculous it is to get made at any countries journalism before India’s in this case…

You’re the one making the claims, provide the evidence. You’re also doing this in the cross posted Post. This has not been wildly reported in any of the western media in the last few days. 300 million people at the same amount of labour able people that live in Europe or America.

I’m in india at the moment! Left Europe for the first time in my life to visit a friend’s wedding. Sadly I can’t say I’ve heard much about this, and I have been talking with a lot of people, travelling about and reading newspapers. Was it some weeks ago or?

One week ago. I think. If you happen to be in a Metro city they were mostly unaffected. Most of the time, these anti government strikes have visible shutdowns in Southern States and other Coastal states. In the North Indian belt the the current ruling party is more prominent. In those states strikes at this level, I have seen only after the Government implemented a change in military intakes and benefits.

India has a population density of 1264 people per square mile, and the US has 96. With the same density, that would give the US 4.6 billion people. With the current population, you would need 17.5 million people in the streets to match this, but to build that kind of momentum is difficult when your largest city has 8.5 million, and the next, at 3.9 million, is over 2000 miles away.

I bet attacking people on the internet makes the world a better place. Some people love to act like things are black and white, and you seem to be one of those people.

the way I see it, this may be the only option left to incite action… if it works, great; if it doesn’t, we are on the same spot and at least they hear so truth that is overdue

if you truly believed there is just no way muricans could possibly help themselves, you’d just brush my comment off… but your need to justify inaction tells me otherwise

Not even going to bother with you except to say you should try to avoid making so many assumptions. You don’t know me or what I have spent my life doing.

which is why I am not addressing my comment to you but to Americans in general… from the larger group, I can extrapolate behaviour from their actual course of action taken
