I smiled looking in the mirror at my reflection. I used to think I was ugly as a teenager. I think I look cute now. At least I know the way I look isn’t the reason I’m alone.
I have been delighted by a relatively new Fediverse community called “Fox News” It is, of course, for news about foxes. Just the idea is delightful. And it doesn’t hurt any that the content is mostly pictures of foxes being adorable. My dog likes to ready over my shoulder when I’m scrolling through it.

Recently I had to supervise an exam. It was one of the first big ones, if you enter a course in my departement, so students are usually nervous. As me and my collegaues entered the hall, we noticed strange noises, but in the hurry of preparing everything we had no time to check for the source. After a while everything was ready, all students had been placed and it got obvious that there were birds, nesting in an old vent.
The birds of course did not care for the students and happily and loudly complained about the new mass of students near their home. Now I can mark “exam disturbed by birds” on my checklist.
Went to a board game cafe with three friends and picked out a game (Smallworld) based on one of their tastes. It was a good pick and he plans to get the game. Three of us were within a point of each other in the end.
