https://piefed.social/community/fediverse/wiki/piefed-app has a list of apps and their feature support. Interstellar currently is the only app with merged comments but I believe other app devs have plans to add it too.
Interstellar appears to do that, but I hated it, so I’m not gonna test and verify it for ya.

I’m using the website as a progressive web app. Just create a “bookmark” on your Home Screen.
I read that it’s not supported by the API yet but I could be mistaken.
The official Piefed app? It’s on Android and does what you need. I’m not understanding.
The official app? Neither in Play nor in F-droid.
Oh it looks like it was removed from the Google play store. I still have it on my phone though.
