      It takes a lot of energy to plant, harvest, and process corn into ethanol, with losses in each part of the process. It can’t ever get close to the efficiency of electric vehicles due to all of these compounding losses. It’s a shitty stopgap measure because a large chunk of America is addicted to enormous gas guzzling vehicles and our politicians keep deliberately fucking up transitioning to EVs.
