And it looks like parody or something. Who are they making this show for?

I was trying to figure out why this is so much worse than my expectations. AI generated is the right call, but it’s specifically like one of those youtube videos where they use an AI to imagine what a movie would look like with different actors/aesthetics. Every scene in this trailer is what I vaguely remember from the first movie but they make a big reveal of a slightly different guy doing the same thing. It just feels like uncanny valley AI slop with a lower budget.

At least the movies had color grading that was consistent with the tone of the film… As the stories got darker the tone became more serious. This seems like it’s using the watchmen color grading right out of the gate

color grading will get shittier and shittier until the morale improves. and hp movies also had shit grading, imma be real (first 2 were like fine kid grading, third is artistic but passable and then until the last ones they were complete dogshit in grading and editing, fucked if i know what people saw)

i don’t know why though, if anything on oled tvs shittily graded movies look even worse, when fucking menu or sports pops like a hyperreal rainbow and then you get sludge of modern digital grading. who is grading them, some person with hatred of warmth?

i remember watching hobbit adverts making of videos, they were doing make up differently because their red cameras were bleeding out red too much, but one would think that would be fixed in a decade, but maybe not?

As everyone else here has said, this is quite uncanny. I think it is the way this trailer kind of acts like the movies don’t exist? Like no one knows what a “Harry Potter” is or something, despite it being one of the most recognizable franchises in the world?

Also why did they use the most generic soundtrack for a trailer I think I’ve ever heard, maybe that was AI generated? The films have a pretty iconic soundtrack, so it is really weird for them to replace that with bland nothing.

And CHUDs seem to be malding about this already because as we all know, black people don’t exist in the UK so how dare they have black actors playing roles in this tv show. I’m sure all the CHUD grifters will be eating well, making content about how this show sucks because woke.

Never watched the movie series or read any of the books which got me made fun of growing up but o-man the dividends of missing out on this slop never stop paying out.

I can truthfully say that I didn’t grow up taking quizes that told me I’m in house drumble-tuft or whatever, and never developed a lifelong crush on any of the child actors. Garbage.

I was generally of the cohort of people who should be obsessed with Hairy Pooter, but like you I missed the boat as a child.

As an adult I made the mistake of dating someone for whom the Jim Dale audiobooks were required listening. I can safely say my life was better before, and everything has only gotten worse since then. It was either my ex or the Potter, and I’m blaming Potter.

I don’t care, I’m going to watch it, the way I watch any Star Wars or Star Trek project that comes along.
