I thought America was a secular state?

My thing is, why would satan punish people for sinning. He is the ultimate sinner. Surely satan would revel in the sins. Wouldn’t he praise the sinners?
Is Satan controlled opposition? Is he heaven’s Chuck Schumer?
God’s just another shitty boss. Satan was just the first union organizer trying to get fair treatment for himself and his coworkers. Hell was his punishment for that. He’s not in charge of anything as far as is described by the text.
