I’ve noticed on Reddit that you have to go to meme subreddits to get honest viewer feedback. Big subreddits like r/TheBoys and r/Invincible clearly have corporate moderators and PR teams generating posts. Meanwhile r/OkBuddyFresca and r/OkBuddyViltrum allow for people to air their grievances without getting banned.

I stopped watching when the blood got gratuitous, dramatised violence is often incorrectly described as gratuitous but in this instance it really was. Throwing a bucket of gore over things ceases to be shocking the fiftieth time you see it and is just easy and distracting.
So like, 5 minutes in when Robin dies?
It reads like someone that’s never seen a show talk about it. “I stoped watching wen it got political”
When it becomes so silly, it also becomes more palatable. This is the same reason Mortal Kombat is a thing. If the gore was realistic like the game manhunt, it’d be much more off-putting. The silly excess of blood and gore actually makes it less realistic, and thus more acceptable. A fatality can be watched and even laughed at by most people, while the average person wouldn’t watch snuff films or even real fights.

I haven’t watched the latest season yet, I’m scared.
I’m really enjoying it
It feels cheap and rushed, and the writing is fucking diabolical.
Diabolical is a compliment in this context
It’s not bad. But there are two filler episodes in it for some reason.
Half of the episodes runtime feel like paddin so much I’m not sure which one is the one you refer to, aside from the one with the short stories (which, BTW, was the only with some interesting bit with firecracker)
I was wondering where they were going with noir for a couple of seasons, and when it ended it felt so fucking pointless.
And the characters from the spin off appearing just to be told to duck off and leave was worse than not acknowledging them at all.
I think that speaks well to the zoomers though, that’s going to be their experience for another twenty years
Well they couldn’t exactly do the original Noir plotline so that’s about what I expected
The plant villian episode was ridiculous, imo. It’s the final season and you randomly throw in an X-Files episode!? Lol
Other than that, it’s whatever.
