I fucking hate my life. Woke up this morning, and there was a construction crew outside the house with a giant hole in front of the driveway. Well, I start taking a shower to get ready for my upcoming job interview, and the water shuts off in the middle of me shaving my legs. Annoying, but fine. Well, I just got a text from my girlfriend saying that the construction workers are talking about condemning the house, saying that it’s the landlord’s responsibility to fix it. Well the lease ends in a month, and the property management company went under a while ago and we just recently discovered this. So my backup plan of staying at my girlfriend’s house until I find a place is going out the window.
There is a high likelihood I go fully homeless in the next few days, I have nowhere left to go. I don’t know what I’m going to do. I have a job interview in an hour, and I also have a job interview tomorrow, so hopefully I have some more income coming in soon, but between my shitty fast food job not giving me any hours, and the city preparing to condemn my girlfriend’s house, I’m about to actually lose everything. This sucks so bad

Damn you’re doing so much better on job interviews (and relationships) than my roommates are, and my approximate effective monthly subsidy for them is close to 2x what you’ve ever seen from me.
High key I actually wish I could make a bunch of hexbears my roommates, instead of being stuck with a few Average Joes.
Yeah, while I was the youngest in sober living, I was also house manager for quite a while because I was the most functional. I was a non-profit canvasser at one point so I’m very personable
I also got lucky with this interview, I detected that he had ADHD and went full autism mode to match his energy and he loved it. I was able to be very honest with him and it worked out great. It was a really enjoyable interview, I genuinely like the guy and I’m excited to work with him.
I have another job interview lined up for tomorrow, while I’m pretty set on the Deli job mentally, I want to keep my options open. The Deli has a lot of small benefits that make it more attractive. I also like its corporate structure
