SAG-AFTRA members have voted to ratify a four-year contract with the major studios that includes AI terms and a merger of the union's pension plans.

    Of those who cast ballots, 91.4% voted in favor of the contract and 8.6% were opposed. Turnout was 19.3% of eligible members.

    Why is this always the case? 80% didn’t vote!

      Not sure about SAG-AFTRA specifically… but it’s quite possible a decent number of those are people are still members but simply not active in the business anymore. If they’re effectively retired and not doing anything in the industry, they might not bother to vote.

        Seems like they would be affected by the pension fund merger and should vote.

        The AI part is nuts.
