    I went last weekend, I have to say it was honestly disappointing. Very impactful, but based on all of the headlines about it I was expecting it to be a bit more of an installation than just a few walls on the second-to-last level. Probably no more than six paragraphs of text, a handful of objects and a TV screen with a few looping interviews. There was quite a crowd though.

    It also only mentioned the word genocide once in its entirety, that the ICC was investigating claims of genocide presently.

    I recognize the immense effort and how meaningful this exhibit being made is, but, fuck. The fact that it faced so much pushback and has been mired in all this controversy is equal parts mind-boggling and infuriating.

    I’m going in a few weeks when I go to Winnipeg for vacation.

    I hope some day the display could be expanded to include more of the post Nakba to present day as I have heard that it is quite a short display.
