I don’t think so. What you pick is just one weird leaf of a clover plant. Lost just one leaf, the plant should still be fine.

A friend would look for them on walks and come back with several every time.
Had a hill where I’d used to live, so easy to find four leaf clovers there. Even have a few five, even a six iirc, in a plant press book somewhere from that hill.
