I.e. the sumerians used to count to 60+ with 2 hands. They and their sexagesimal system.
You could also do binary and count up to 31 on 1 hand or 1023 or both hands.

And what if… if you used those positional finger values (that has power.) in conjunction with a non-binary value per finger. In it’s literal sense, with more than 2 states. Oh. The possibilities!
