Criminal, the game was a great success thanks to those devs, he is just a greedy cunt and sacked them so they dont have to share the money.

$30 million could’ve paid the salaries of 300 developers, assuming each one is paid roughly market wages of $100,000.

EA and Ubisoft are on my blacklist. I will never purchase another game published by them ever again. And haven’t for years.

    Nothing of value lost.

Game dev isn’t bad to get into. Working for those companies is the problem. It’s why we see the rise of small studios and independent projects.

I think players got hyped for the beta and then the game was no good; classic beta and switch.

No surprise from scum EA. Sad for these people’s jobs though.

Lol, visit the EA BF6 forums. That’ll tell a different story. Plus they probably count player numbers on “free weekends”, too. Nothing but a crapload of cheats, a common complaint in the forums along with menu problems, weapon balance issues, and people abusing aim assist with devices like the Cronus. It’s a dumb stat-padder laden arcade shooter now. Honestly the worst player experience in the BF series, and I owned/played them all.

Shareholders don’t care about forums, they don’t care about critical reception, they care about money and unfortunately, for some fucking reason, people keep spending money on that stupid fucking series.

Of course, we’re only about t-3 years until we get the “was Battlefield 6 an underrated classic?” articles and videos start getting made.

Probably the most masochist fanbase out there. Series hasn’t been good since at least 2 but they keep coming back for more…

Dear Luigi, Saint of righteous comeuppance, hear our prayer. Let Andrew Wilson get what he deserves. Amen.

EA has sucked terribly for at least 30 years running. I ragequit EA after they bought the James Bond franchise immediately after goldeneye and made “the world is not enough (money)”.

I did, no regrets. It’s a good ol’ blasty blast.

I did the beta tests and it was obvious it had a solid foundation to be one of the most fun BF games in the franchise.

Keeping up with the patch notes, they’re doing a decent job fixing problems and listening to large concerns.

For reference I bought 2042 on sale for like $20 and for the most part that wasn’t even worth it. And I also think BF5 wasn’t worth it either.
