Fwiw, I’d imagine of the people that were pushing hard in support of the 2A, most but not all we’re conservative. Of those 35% you referenced, I bet almost all of those contribute to that group of hard fast 2A supporters. There is a large portion of us that didn’t vote for this, don’t support 2A, and hate the current state of affairs.

It was always a bit of a sham to get the pacivity of a democratically sated populace while maintaining effective aristocracy, but even that is obviously over.
