I love the little story arcs with Greebo and You
Sir Terry Pratchett forgot about the litter boxes. The lazy bastards will never clean them themselves, so I think I’m safe as long as I do it for them.
My old cat has in his advanced age discovered the “magic” of pissing on the sofa. -.-
GNU Sir Terry Pratchett
This is funny timing. I just saw this clip today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJfJmnkcj6E
I literally listened to this quote in the wild in the audiobook earlier today.
Do you happen to work at the FBI…?

I see that you’re a person of exquisite taste 👌🏼
Do you happen to work at the FBI…?
But a very bad guesser 😄
tell me you dont understand cats without telling me you dont understand cats. he must have never known the love of a cat, as is so common with people who treat them like dogs.
Sorry, but you’ve obviously not read the discworld stuff, or at least not enough, nor things about the author.
In this case, what you’re seeing is a humorous take that is one of many tidbits about various animals, and is no more or less inaccurate than some of the dogs in the stories. Everything in discworld is a little rough around the edges because of the society he’s mimicking. The two main cats in his books, Maurice and Greebo (pictured in the post) both save the day quite capably.
Death, a major character in the series, is a known cat lover that takes a dim view of anyone harming cats. Which is more indicative of the author’s real views than an out of context quote from a work of fiction.
