So between Spidey, The Odyssey, and Dune Part 3, that household is gonna do well in 2026.

Well, yes. That’s how making a series of popular movies tends to work for the top billed actor. Now show us how much all the non-famous people who worked on the movie will make.

Not always how it works. Also, the movie would not have been as good a movie without Tom Holland. People don’t go to see a movie for the work of “extra #45, #46, and #47”. I agree that it’s important for crew to be taken care of and the rest of the cast and the contractors but suggesting that Tom Holland didn’t earn his pay is absurd.

Of all the problems with Hollywood accounting do you really think it’s young actors’ pay that is the issue? Do you think athletes are overpaid too?

There’s people slurping up the money but it ain’t the young employees.

I definitely think athletes are overpaid. Making $100 million dollars to act or throw a ball at a hoop when millions of people need assistance to buy and eat food and there are shortages of teachers because they’re expected to buy supplies for the children with their own meager pay should be criminal.

I think you have some noble ideas. I think we are arguing two different ideas though.

Generally people are paid as a slice of the revenue that their work brings in and not just what they deserve. My argument is that the value that Tom Holland brings to the movie is equal to or greater than his share of the revenue. I feel the same about professional athletes too.

I don’t think Tom Holland or professional athletes have to earn less for teachers to earn more.

I disagree. I think if the idiots in the general public willing to spend endless amount of money on people throwing balls instead spent that on improving public and social infrastructure the world would be a far better place.

I’m actually all for just executing the biggest spending sports fans, team owners, and athletes. I’m telling you this so you don’t continue to waste your time bickering about the topic.

So the football players shouldn’t get paid even though they are generating all that revenue? Even though they are the ones out their putting their bodies on the line? Who should? The owners?

          Anti-labour scum.
