I guess it’s just a matter of time before AI-powered surveillance pricing (aka individualized price gouging) becomes normalized. Of course - anybody who isn’t rich (in particular the poor) are going to get fucked. The AI will determine that the poor don’t have a choice so - fuck 'em - make them pay 200% or more. Meanwhile the rich will get a nice discount because they have options and the company offering the goods or services will cater to them.
The true matter of time is when poisoning the AI to trick it into giving you the lower rate is considered theft and punishable by imprisonment.

I’ve got to imagine that these systems will be defeatable by tech inclined people. imagine running an open claw instance who’s only purpose is to flood the internet with fake data about yourself in order to lower your prices at online stores.
