I love reading about the interfaith community of Americans pushing back on this. This story is often shaped as this “believer” v “non-believer” debate, or it’s about the Satanic temple doing its thing.
Hearing about this variety of faiths, including other Christians, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu, UU, and so on, saying, “Families should get to decide what faith is taught to their kids, not the state,” is the kind of group and argument that could win at the Supreme Court. America is still about all faiths & none, says the FIRST amendment. All others come after it or stem from it.
Yeah, this was settled September 17, 1787.
The supreme court should be falling over themselves to swat this down.
Frankly, most religious claims should not be protected by the first amendment. Like yelling “fire” in a crowded theater when there is no fire, using baseless declarations to manipulate people causes needless harm.
