A Netflix competition show based on Roald Dahl's 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' uses an AI-generated Gene Wilder in a disastrous gimmick.

Person: “They’ll work you until the day you die”

Netflix: “What makes you think your work stops when you’re dead?”

The estate likely had to sign off on this. So blame them too

        Oh yeah they did. Effusively.

It’s hard to imagine selling my dead husband out like this, but maybe the money helped.

        I appreciate USA Today’s description:

It’s skin-crawling. It’s inappropriate. It’s disrespectful. As the young people say, it’s “giving the ick.”

It’s definitely the money. The justification is always “they would have wanted to know their family was still being looked after, so they’d be ok with this.”

Remember folks: If you’re still paying for Netflix, you’re directly paying them for terrible decisions like this!

That phrasing implies that there is an appropriate use for ai Gene Wilder.

AI Gene Wilder as the spokesperson for abolishing AI.

The point of both the South Korean drama and the beloved children’s book is that forcing human beings — particularly, in the latter case, children! — into lethal competition over scarce resources is, to be blunt, very bad.

…that’s the point of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Did we read the same book?

    I was curious.

    I lasted about two minutes.

    AI Gene Wilder is horrible.

I watched through part of the finding of the golden tickets and just couldn’t take it anymore. Too cringe.

    Eww.
