It knows right when to ruin a good day. You’re forced to stop and intake sugar while you sweat like a pig and feel like you’re going to pass out. Then afterwards you’re cold and tired and the tummy hurts from eating shit.
Yea it’s a terrible feeling. I always get a huge headache afterwards and I take time to recover. I have type 2 diabetes and take meds so it doesn’t happen that often for me but sucks when it does.
Do you sweat and get very hungry? I don’t get a headache but afterwards I’m just drained and don’t want to do anything.
Yea I sweat and sometimes get dizzy. If often starts with hands trembling a bit. I try to always eat meals at the same time to avoid it but that’s not always possible.
Gotcha. Mine starts where I feel like “off” just a general low energy feeling, it’s hard to describe, but the second I feel it I know my blood sugar is dropping.
I was thinking of writing a post in disability about anyone else feeling like a chemist at times but the thing on the line is your body. I think this answers that.
Sorry your body is trying to ruin your day
I know a guy who has a “candy alarm”. Which is so much less fun than it sounds.
I’d do candy, but my attacks are very infrequent, sometimes I can go months in between them then some days have them back to back, otherwise I’d have candy in the house. So what I do is peanut butter instead, because I eat it regularly.
I think everything you use for attacks like that is going to end up a sucky experience.
I just thought of him housing down candy looking tortured when I read the post.
I actually found fruits to be much better. But it’s not practical to carry bananas everywhere
im not diabetic but i have it chronically and it sucks
