Billions of us woke up today to do some mind numbing profit generating. What a waste of life this system is.

My job recently abandoned clocking in. Also, I don’t have to generate a profit for the union, so 🤷 Feels much more free than before where every single minute was counted
I like believe the clock system does not exist to micro manage me but it exists so I can use my collected overtime for a day of
That’s good if you can do that but unfortunately that’s how many of my coworkers ended up with 500 hours of overtime lol. Some of them now have to work 4/5 at 5/5 pay for the next two years to compensate.
5 o’clock is still 5 o’clock but I travel with public transport so I tend to be a bit early and eventually that will add up to a day or compensation for when the train does not drive
What is public transportation like?
Update on public transportation: Today once again my train was cancelled because it broke this caused the next train to also get cancelled and the next train I was able to take to still come on time for work had a 10 minute delay this caused me to miss my bus and forced me to wait 30 minutes at the bus station in the rain
Pretty good delays are a problem though they are not big 5 minutes most of the time I used to go to school to a nearby town and a different train to that area left almost every 10 minutes work is a different town though. Yesterday there was some unexpected railway construction so I get to go with the bus and showed up and hour later because of that
Of course, my job IS to handle the machine and overview the shifts.
What do you do when your fellow proletariat does not clock in?
I write them in manually of course, if it’s justified. 👍🏻

Just an update from my side: yesterday at the meeting they held a little “inauguration ceremony” for me at the party meeting. The party representative from the Capital had given me my little red membership book as well as gifted me a book from our president and a brand new party pin. Our goal this year is to get in the EU parliament to voice the program of people’s Europe together with all major European communist parties. Thank y’all for the crossed fingers, the whole event went great! I hope you don’t mind me talking about my experiences here.

I know reddit is a mess but Instagram has to take the crown of bizarre comment threads for sure. You could post a picture of a pillow on a couch, no context whatsoever, and people will be fighting about something in the comments. You’d almost think the entire thing is simulated or something.
In my experience Instagram comments are even more reactionary than Reddit comments
There’s no downvotes and the comments are up depending on how many replies it gets, also instagram doesn’t seem to automatically remove slurs or autoban for using them
There’s a pro strongman that has started shitting on shitty people from the comments section of fitness videos. For example: woman lifts heavy weight, butt hurt “men” comment various idiotic hateful things, strongman looks at their profile and calls them a removed based on something relevant.
Obviously it doesn’t do anything systematically, but it is a bit of solidarity and the original poster often tanks him. So I guess that’s okay.
But yeah they are the worst.

They’ll tank the economy like they threatened with Greece. Worth it to escape their clutches, but only if there’s a plan for introducing socialism the next day. Otherwise it’d just be pain. There are probably vulture capitalists hoping for exactly that.

If it were possible to interrogate the writers of what I might start calling pulp news, you’d probably find exactly that. Libs aren’t interested in consistency, though. My campus finally took down the pro-palestine stickers that have been up for the last 4-5 months. That feels like a defeat, especially in wake of what’s going on.
