I’ve seen pre-alpha gameplay and it’s currently 3rd person. Maybe they’ll change it though. Valve tends to test heavily and make lots of changes over time before release.
I’m really hopeful. I want something to scratch the Overwatch itch after it’s gone down hill.
I’m not big into multiplayer games, but I have noticed that lemmy and Reddit just get very pessimistic whenever a beloved company announces a multiplayer game
TF2 was on fire for years and they did jack shit. Yeah that makes me veeery optimistic and excited about their next game (/s)
but they got hats, and if you really think about it, that’s not much less than what most competetive games get for updates (only skins)
Epic Games had a first person shooter moba, called Paragon, that failed and closed down. It was actually not bad, just not popular enough.

It’s just an attention grab. There are literally 4 screenshots of this new game that have been leaked. There’s basically no info about it. To say it’s a clone of another game is ridiculous. Like saying it’s a clone of Doom because it has guns.
