  • the same % of Americans have always been stupid. but for a long time it was honest ignorance that made them pliable, in small communities, to conmen… who quickly worked their con and moved on to the next town.

But thanks to the internet connecting disparate crazies, and elevating crazy to a mainstream voice, and then hostile foreign powers elevating that further on social media thanks to the internet, giving it a heavy dose of false legitimacy… its devolved into a unique bouillabaisse of cromagnum hyper-idiocy the likes the world probably has never seen before.

and thank to isolated media bubbles like Fox News and OANN, it will only continue to get worse and worse.

You’re the kind of person that gets told repeatedly that X is bad, don’t do X.

Then you do X, get in deep trouble, and cry about how could anyone possible let this happen, and expect everyone else around you to clean up the mess, arent you.

Google dominating the internet IS a privacy problem.

Taking google tracking bullshit out of your browser does nothing to address their monopolistic power that allows them to violate your privacy even without their tracking shit in their browser. Using Chrome/Chromium hurts privacy. Because using google shit in general hurts privacy. Using chrome/chromium furthers googles base, further forces the web to align with what google wants, and is bad for privacy, and for everything.

And Chrome was never the most performant. Google just sabotage their own services to run worse on competitors browsers, because end users are stupid and will just assume "not google browser = bad " and use chrome.

And if you still cant wrap your head around it, then you’re hopeless.

  • If you’re gonna game on Fedora, you should game on Nobara.

Nobara is based on Fedora, So it already comes with that history and support, but with gaming focused tweaks and changes. Its created and run by Glorious Eggroll, the same guy that does the custom proton versions, and the reason why I suggest Nobara above everything else is that it has all the game related stuff baked in, with easy updaters to keep anything thats not updated by the system updater up to date with a simple click.

So no having to compile shit from sources or anything else. Its all done, and packaged, for easy use and updating.

Its as user friendly as ubuntu, and ready to go for gaming.
