I played before all the DLC had been released so I didn’t get the full story, I also haven’t played any Max Payne games so I think I was missing a little bit story-wise from the jump. Still enjoyed the vibes immensely but fully agree on the criticisms of the story. The solution to this metaphysical alphabet agency which kidnaps and disappears children is just to put someone new in the director’s chair.

Max Rebo is canonically an Ortolan, the only one we’ve ever seen- but we’ve never seen his lower half so everyone is asking the dire question: Do Ortolan have legs? Neel is also a blue elephant person but has been explicitly stated that he’s NOT an Ortolan because they are too AFRAID to answer this burning question the fanbase has wanted- NEEDED to know for decades

No clue if this is why but there’s an interesting design aspect to setting up a neighbourhood so everyone’s windows don’t just look right in at each other, a lot of developers don’t give a shit so instead of doing that design they just leave out windows. Easy peasy.
