I mean I would use another tool probably, but if I only had my tape measure it would do unless the changes are smaller than like 0.25 mm.
I do not think it’s holy water after evaporation anymore. Holiness is only soluble in liquid water (or wine) and it’s highly volatile — if not properly stored it will end up being normal water again after a few hours at most.
So an n-dash? Which is arguably indistinguishable from a hyphen unless you put them together, so most people just use hyphens. Or another dash-like character in between?
