  • I think the Georgia part is the most significant here. The collapse of the Georgian regime change effort, even if from a temporary pause in funding (layoffs and project cancellations are hard to reverse) pretty much eliminates all chance of Georgia being turned into Ukraine 2.0 in the near future.

Setting up more regime change efforts, if that’s even something the trump admin will aim for (they are not so rabidly anti-russia) will take more time, and they would require another causus belli to show up in the meantime to take advantage of. Trump might have made Georgia secure for at least the next 4 years.

  • For a start, the postal system here sucks quite majorly. They have a tendency of not handling packages properly, so I am worried that during transportation, the hormones might not be stored properly.

Secondly, I can’t be sure which supplier to trust. This is a problem that I could solve with research, but that assumes I am finding the correct information which I might not be, especially since so much of the information I find online is first hand accounts.

I tried looking for options for importing from outside Europe, but I am not sure how importing medicine will go with European customs, assuming of course, that the medicine I receive is not affected by transportation.

Maybe I am just panicking and not thinking straight? Ordering medicine online just seems rather … sketchy to me.

  • Republicans don’t give a single shit about “norms”, which tbf is their only respectable quality. This wouldn’t be unprecedented either, since in the past they eliminated filibustering for passing the government budget (which is why the parliamentarian was able to block the minimum wage increase, because the parliamentarian decides what is and isn’t part of the “budget” and the dems tried to pass the minimum wage through the budget).

Is the best article I have seen on this topic.

I would probably even go further than this article. There is no special significance of fascism, both liberalism and fascism are the actions/ideologies of the same actors in service of the same system. Creating a division between the 2 and then treating 1 as a special threat leaves us with confused tactics.

The category of fascism is to take seriously the PR of say, someone like Al capone as a dignified mobster in comparison to the brutish ones.

Our analysis of threats should be far more fine grained and far more materialistic.

  • The more time a president has in office, the more they can “consolidate power”, which when translated from liberal actually means that they have the time and popularity to take control of the country away from state bureaucracies and entrenched civil society institutions (both of which are the key organs through which the capitalist class’s excercises it’s power).

While trump and the like have no intention of doing anything good with a third term, the reason why so many capitalists/liberals are terrified of fascism/Communism is that these transfer political power from the traditional organs of bourgeois power to the state.

Of course the fascists only do this in order to unify the bourgeoise and eliminate competition amongst them (emergency mode of capitalism).

In this context, term limits in any society come with a big asterisk. Such measures (including stuff like constitutional rights, which in practice only protect the rich) are basically liberal society’s way of operating in normal times. Their degradation across the entire west signals an era of great change. The bourgeoise are gearing up and hardening themselves for class war on a scale never seen before.

  • Legal terms are the only terms that are factual and avoid what people feel about the issue.

Pure ideology. What a joke. The institutions of the state do not exist as divine arbiter of truth.

Biden is a genocider because he did everything in his power to provide arms to a state engaged in genocide. Given the level of dependence the idf has on us arms, if Biden made the decision to stop arming Israel, the genocide in Palestine couldn’t have been sustained for more than a few weeks at best.

It is just blatantly counterfactual to state that Israel has the military means to continue the genocide without us military aid.

Some stats on us-israel military cooperation

Israel not only received 22 billion* dollars in aid (the second biggest military spender china spends 140 billion per year ), but also buys almost all it’s military equipment from the us. Israel’s airforce for instance is fitted with us produced planes.

  • Always funny to see how trump is way less pro-russia than liberals keep screaming. Man completely failed to warm US-Russia relations in his first term and I doubt he is in the second.

Trump’s latest statements highlight the unease many in Moscow’s elite feel about his unpredictability, which has led to a cautious response since his re-election.

Lol the trump admin is only unpredictable if you take trump’s statements too much at face value. The US government doesn’t run on 1 person’s tweets.

Trump’s latest statement on the war in Ukraine notably omits any mention of providing additional weapons to Kyiv, instead signalling a shift towards deploying economic measures against Moscow.

Shift? The west has been using economic measures since day 1.

Trump administration officials have previously indicated that they believe the US could further target Russia’s economy by sanctioning its energy sector.

    Lol. Sanctions raj on overdrive.
