I’m not sure anyone ever thought of it unfortunately, but Yoku’s Island Express was an indie metroidvania pinball game.
I had never really enjoyed a metroidvania before this game, but something about it got me excited about the genre in ways I hadn’t been before. I’ve since played a ton of metroidvanias and its one of my favorite genres.
I highly recommend it if you’ve never heard of it. It’s a lot of fun and uses the pinball mechanics in an open world really well.
I got groceries last week and noticed most of the eggs were around $8-12 a dozen. Before all the bird flu stuff, it was more like $3-5 for a dozen. Should note that the aisles have been looking pretty slim lately. Not a ton of stock available.
Getting to the point where vegan egg replacement is about the same price per volume which is good for me.

There’s a “don’t allow” button right there. And the message on top of it for “System Permissions” literally says, “you can say no to giving permissions and only certain functions of the app will not work”
I don’t know what the issue is here. You can probably call people through the app, since you sign up with a phone number.
I think a big part of it is the community guidelines and moderation (of both places). I reported someone for being racist on RedNote and action was actually taken, unlike on a lot of western social media.

Not really the same situation, is it? Was Jimmy Carter sending Iran billions of dollars in weapons while also claiming he was attempting to get the hostages released? Do you have evidence that Israel was working with the Trump campaign to delay a ceasefire? When Reagan was campaigning against Jimmy Carter, was he making claims that Iran should kill all of the hostages?
Because the reporting seems to indicate that Trump’s people simply put pressure on Israel and now this is the result.
Sure doesn’t sound like they were working together, moreso that Trump was willing to put pressure where Biden was not. I say this as someone who loathes Trump.
Funnily enough, all of the current reporting seems to indicate it was actually Trump’s people who put on the pressure to get the ceasefire deal. Common democrat L, they can’t even be the anti-war party correctly (not that they ever have been).
It’s nice and it reminds me of why I like the internet (in a similar way to how discovering chapo.chat/hexbear did years ago). When I was young, the internet opened up my world from just my little town to the entire world. At the time, I was talking to people from Europe when previously I had barely talked to someone from a different town than me. The connectivity of the internet can be a beautiful thing, despite everything.
I made an account and posted a picture of one of my cats and a Chinese user has already sent me a picture of a receipt telling me I have paid entry to the app via cat pic. I really do hope westerners stay, listen, and learn from our comrades on the other side of the world.
