  • EDIT: I see South Yemen is threatening the Houthis. It makes my analysis below bunk. Yea this doesn’t look good. But the Saudi’s already spent a quarter trillion on fighting the Houthis, and that didn’t go so well. And fighting the Houthis now??? Given their popularity throughout the Muslim world, that’s quite crazy. But maybe they want to further exploit Iran’s weakness and vulnerability.

    .

The UAE-Israel pact surrounding Saudi Arabia, getting more bold, and taking more territory - became the main threat to Saudi Arabia right now.

Iran was in that position until recently. Iran’s retreat and broken axis of resistance to the North of Saudi Arabia, means Iran is not their main threat right now.

Before, Saudi Arabia could sit back and let Iran and Israel duke it out, and they could close their eyes to the Israeli Aretz including Saudi territory.

    Now Israel is their problem.

The defeats have turned Iran into the #3 player in the region instead of the #2. So Iran can now focus on internal stability while the Saudi stresses out about all this stuff instead.

Saudi has to focus on Somaliland and Sudan now. The Iranians are also fighting against the UAE there.
