4·4 hours agoMonster is a cliché trans meme drink. My comment was something called a joke, which apparently is a new concept to you.

Oh my bad, I thought you were talking about 2nd blocklist post that Rimu was saying was AI.

World News@quokk.au•ICC member states remove Prosecutor Karim Khan by majority voteEnglish
6·7 hours agoThat were raised weeks after starting to issue warrants for Netanyahus arrest.
The vote also comes amid questions and criticism about the ASP Bureau’s handling of the investigation, particularly over concerns that the process has been “politicised” after the opinion of the judges’ panel, which unanimously found that no wrongdoing had been established, was disregarded by bureau member states.
And
In a report seen by MEE, the panel concluded unanimously that the facts presented in the UN investigation “do not establish misconduct or breach of duty under the relevant framework”.
But a few weeks after the judges’ panel report, a majority of bureau members backed a motion to disregard it, suggesting that Khan may have committed misconduct. The vote prompted concerns that the process could be politicised
They also changed the process to make it easier to remove him, and disregarded the jusges results.
The people who keep trying to defend this stuff are odd.

18·11 hours agoIf the Us/Israel can force this, there is zero neutrality in the ICC and they might as well go ahead and dismantle it.

3·22 hours agodb0 has a fork working on removing the filters
From what I understand @AdmiralPatrick@lemmy.world/@pzt@dubvee.org does the whole ‘I’m quitting forever’ thing every so often.
It was forked yesterday by db0 (to strip the censorship) here and you can see the commits made by the original dev 2 weeks ago.
It was last updated 2 weeks ago, dev deleted project within last 24 hours due to this backlash.

World News@quokk.au•Record 1,319 public school teachers in Japan cite mental health as reason for quittingEnglish
5·23 hours agoTeaching is extremely demanding and often very underpaid, meanwhile children with additional needs generally require more help to support creating a greater workload.
I can fully understand why people would want to drop out, but it’s a huge loss for the children and other teachers will be the ones to have to pick up the extra children creating a vicious cycle.
Extremist dev of the Tesseract front end for Lemmy coded in a secret blacklist full of thousands of users, communities, and instances. Further adding to the duplicity was that Instead of displaying a note that anything was banned, it returned a generic error message as if to make users think there was only a technical issue.

6·1 day agoNo, no it is not.
Albo’s made a new PR department for AI is all. He’s even removed the requirement they use sustainable energy, so they’ll be installing gas power generators on sites.
In the mean time Labor are using laws to build numerous centres all over the place, without people being allowed to raise concerns. They’re being pre-approved on special economic needs.
This needs to stop being spread like we’re doing something good here because we really aren’t. But for whatever reason US media has latched onto this.
ZioNazi genocide of Palestinians is what’s wrong.
And Israel has no right to exist, it is stolen land that needs to be returned.
