If you want to make a comprehensive chatroom, and specify how it works to minor details - Revolt (for instance) is far behind. If what Discord is doesn’t appeal to you in the first place, then neither would any of the Discord alternatives.

Yeah, and in terms of usability Discord alternatives are really quite substantially behind Discord in terms of functions.

I don’t think the same is with Reddit and Lemmy/Piefed. The distance is not so vast.

That China walks on this thin line is the threat. It’s the ambiguity. Dear me dude, China is 1.4 billion in size. Taiwan is 23 million.

What on earth does Taiwan or could Taiwan ever do that could be remotely threatening or aggressive to China?

I don’t think the Taiwanese see it that way given China repeatedly calls for it, or implies that it’ll do it.

I haven’t seen all of these, but they’re all hgihly rated. Notably the strengths of Foundation, ironically, is where it ignores the source material.

I do agree the 00s and 90s were better for sitcoms though, and episodic shows.

You would never get shows like Foundation, or House of the Dragon, or Fallout or Silo or For All Mankind in the 90s or 00s.

Eh, most TV shows in the 80s, 90s and 00s were cheap hangout sitcoms, cop shows, medical shows or legal shows. Pretty basic stuff. TV now is much more adventurous than then.

Well most TV shows have always been adaptations, remakes in some way. There’s still good stuff if you look.

I mean this is specifically referring to MCU/Star Wars content suffering, which is almost all on one service.
