I wish the sales were as awesome as they were a decade ago.
That said, I’m thinking about picking up Balatro, but I feel no urgency to care since it’s only 10% off. Like, that $1.50 difference isn’t all that compelling.

balatro is totally worth it imo, absolute banger i got like 60 hours of completely addicted gameplay out of it and it’s a one guy game so idm paying up for it
I got Final Fantasy VII Remake. I’ve been working through the entire Final Fantasy series, mostly in order thanks to the pixel remasters. Currently having the time of my life with FFVII after being extremely disappointed with VI (which surprisingly has been my least favorite by far), and now have the option to play Remake immediately after if I want.
I considered Baldur’s Gate 3 because everyone I know keeps gushing about how great it is. It just doesn’t look very fun and there is no way I’m going to put down $48 on a video game.

It’s not really about worth. It’s just expensive for my budget. I could yarg it but I also don’t want to dedicate 100gb for it to sit (I’m in no rush to play it despite having beat the two previous)
Dead Space 2 is currently discounted to 3.99€ which is fair but I distinctly remember gifting it to someone a couple of years back and it costing less than 2 euros in whatever sale that was. Then you have the original 2008 Dead Space at 7.99€, twice as expensive, and they list a 5.99€ EA Play sub above the fucking game itself on the store page
The pessimist in me wants to say we’re going to see less and less of deep discounts on old games in the future in favour of this fucking subscription bullshit
I might buy the metal gear collection and some indie titles. Kinda want to buy more but I’ve already got such an insane backlog.
I got FTL for $2.50 and finally pulled the trigger on Dwarf Fortress even though the discount wasn’t great, I know the devs are trying to afford cancer treatment in Hellworld.
FTL is really good, halberds go brrrrr
Yeah my only regret is not trying it years ago, just installed the Multiverse mod after completing a couple runs and it’s wild how much content is added.
If you like FTL, I recommend Cobalt Core. It’s a 10/10 game, worth buying even at full price.

I think PC gamers have gotten used to bigger cards and there is a lot of variance between the ‘most compact’ 4090 & the largest, which would be the ROG Strix shown in the photo I posted above.
But I am still rocking my 1060 6GB in 2024 so don’t take anything I say about the current state of graphics cards as the word of god lol
Nothing… I probably would have bought some games, but I am unable to. Also I’m ok with only having one game (xonotic), since I do need to limit my distractions.
Before I buy any games I first need to find a person with a Kazakhstan bank account, and have them buy the games for me in exchange for RUB.
Not planning on buying anything this year, I have enough games to last a lifetime TBH
