There was another story about a wealthy CEO being gunned down in a posh area of New York City. Everyone said it was an example of street crime being out of control but it turned out to be one of his wealthy business partners. Could be the same case here.

The likelihood of this being a targeted attack is near zero and this is NY Post trying to get the wealth class scared that people are going to target them so they can justify a pretext for more law enforcement “protection” of “special” people like this guy.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would consider the theory that this was a targeted assassination to be conspiratorial thinking.

It seems plausible that one of the people who has been fucked over by UnitedHealthcare got pissed enough to do something about it.
And there’s enough of them that the odds of this not being targeted are, frankly, lower than the alternative.
He was a high level CEO of a company that alot of people have beef with. They used a silencer and Midtown is pretty wealthy and muggers don’t steal in those neighborhoods because they are very likely to be apprehended.
