Being held in contempt is supposed to have fairly serious consequences, right?

Why do I have a feeling this will no longer mean what it used to mean?

A contempt charge is anywhere from a slap on the wrist to a fine to being remanded to custody on the spot. (Baliff!) It’s very much up to the judges discretion, but it never bodes well for present and future dealings with that judge.
