Remember that
i mean, they’re still being used they’re just not minecraft style blocks anymore
enshrouded from last year is pretty popular, and entirely voxel based but looks very pretty (imo)
IIRC they were being used without the minecraft look from the start - Crysis and Red Alert 3 used them, for example.
the minecraft “voxels” aren’t real voxels and they look like the funkopops of retro gaming

I remember all the vehicles in Red Alert 2 were vowels, what was vowels in Red Alert 3?
Vehicles again. I’m not sure when it started, I just remember them being in 3.
I still play some voxel games. Stormworks, mostly
What are voxels?
Volumetric pixels. When everything is made out of smol cube instead of textured polygons.
Delta force 2?
3D Dot Game Heroes is still my favorite soulsborn
I dont care thaaaat much about gfx but if your game isnt about building stuff/minecraft etc I dont really like voxels.
Minecraft isn’t even voxels, they’re textured!
